# BotsRated > Signed checks of paid AI services, before your agent pays. > Factual, timestamped measurements of paid x402 agent services (USDC on Base) and remote MCP servers. Facts only, no opinions. Every test result links to a signed receipt. Start here: the preflight check before you pay is free and unlimited (normal per-IP rate limits apply), with no key and no account: GET https://botsrated.com/v1/preflight?url= Coverage: 4514 seller hosts found through the Coinbase CDP Bazaar, Agentic.Market, 402index and x402-list. The Coinbase CDP x402 Bazaar, Agentic.Market and 402index's Bazaar entries are used only to find services to check: we publish no usage counts, listing text or listed prices from them. Listing text and listed prices we show come from x402-list (Data: x402-list.com (CC BY 4.0), modified) and 402index. Each host gets an automatic unpaid check usually about every 30 minutes (busy, recently changed and paid-alert-plan services: every few minutes; services with no payment request for 7 days: about once a day); no payment header is ever sent. 48 sellers with more than one listed route also get 3 of their other listed routes checked about every 40 minutes, taking turns through all of their listed routes. Seller lists are re-read daily. Paid test-buys add on-chain receipts (Base tx links). Data older than 24 h is flagged stale:true. ## Free - GET https://botsrated.com/v1/preflight?url= free and unlimited: latest probe, freshness, listing vs live price/payTo, receipt link. 404 means not covered. Counts below 5 are left out. retry_safety: payment_identifier_advertised / payment_identifier_required (does the seller's 402 advertise x402's optional payment-identifier idempotency extension; the seller's own claim), seen_at, receipt_id, replay_tested (whether our Resent Payment Check has run on this service: always false, because the check is not currently running; it would only ever run on sellers who opt in), note. - GET https://botsrated.com/v1/find?q= top matching sellers and MCP servers with a one-line factual reason and page link. Uses 1 of the 25 free daily checks (shared with /v1/check); 429 free_quota_used after that. - GET https://botsrated.com/v1/pulse live totals (cached 60 s): paid services watched, MCP servers checked and listed, valid in 24 h, down or failed in 7 days, checks run on completed days, price changes today, last check. Totals only, no seller names. - GET https://botsrated.com/v1/rates measured rates over our most recent completed UTC days (offline share of test calls, payTo-change and price-vs-listing shares of payment requests), each with sample size and source; a rate is null below the minimum sample. Old path /v1/savings-rates still works. - GET https://botsrated.com/v1/coverage hosts covered, sources, probe schedule, last probe run. - GET https://botsrated.com/v1/other-payments?method=l402|mpp|x402-other sellers that take Bitcoin Lightning (L402), MPP or x402 on other networks: unpaid checks only, no test purchases, not ranked (free). - GET https://botsrated.com/v1/sample/check | /v1/sample/report | /v1/sample/best real sample of each paid response. - GET https://botsrated.com/receipt/?host=&day= one receipt (unpaid probe, or paid test-buy with tx_url). Use receipt_url as given. - POST https://botsrated.com/mcp MCP Streamable HTTP, no auth. Free tools: preflight, find, coverage, sample. Paid tools (check, report, best): an unpaid call returns an x402 v2 PaymentRequired tool error; retry with the payment in _meta["x402/payment"]. - POST https://botsrated.com/a2a A2A JSON-RPC, data part {skill, input}. ## Paid (x402 v2, exact scheme, USDC on Base mainnet; charged only on a 2xx answer) - GET https://botsrated.com/v1/check?host= $0.001 facts + freshness + paid test-buys + last 5 receipts. - GET https://botsrated.com/v1/report/ $0.002 full receipt history (up to 1000 probes + all paid test-buys). - GET https://botsrated.com/v1/best?task=&sort=reliability|price|latency&max_price= $0.01 Best Pick: top 3 providers with matching routes and the numbers behind the order. Unknown host, missing parameters or bad input return a free 4xx with error.code, error.hint and charged:false, before any payment. Busy database (free reads: /v1/preflight, /v1/coverage, /v1/rates, /s/, /host/, /receipt/): we retry a few times; if that still fails we may serve the last good answer from up to 15 min ago with HTTP 200 and headers X-BotsRated-Stale: 1, X-BotsRated-Stale-Age (seconds), X-BotsRated-Stale-Reason, X-BotsRated-Built-At (JSON also gets stale, stale_built_at, stale_age_s, stale_note). With no such copy: 503 temporarily_unavailable with Retry-After: 20. A live answer after a retry carries X-BotsRated-Retries. Treat a 503 as no answer, not as a pass. Paid routes answer 503 facilitator_unavailable (Retry-After: 5, nothing charged) if the payment facilitator does not respond. Free daily quota: the first 25 /v1/check and 3 /v1/report calls per client (IP address; IPv6 per /48) per UTC day are served free, without a payment. After that the normal x402 402 applies. Requests that already carry an x402 payment header, send X-BotsRated-Free-Quota: off, or ask about the advertised example host blockrun.ai always use x402 (free samples: /v1/sample/*). Pricing: https://botsrated.com/pricing (JSON: https://botsrated.com/pricing.json) ## Seller alerts and data plans (x402, one payment = one 30-day period; no balances, no auto-renewal; payments final except our faults, see /terms) - GET https://botsrated.com/v1/plans free: plans, prices, rules, webhook signature format. - POST https://botsrated.com/v1/alerts/subscribe free: {"host":"seller.example","webhook_url":"https://you.example/hook"} 1 host, one signed webhook digest per UTC day when its facts change, 30 days (renew free); up to 3 active free alert subscriptions per client (IP address), and up to 1,000 across all users. - POST https://botsrated.com/v1/subscribe/alerts-10 ($9) | alerts-50 ($29) {"hosts":[...],"webhook_url":"https://..."} up to 10 / 50 hosts, signed webhook a few minutes after the check that sees a change (payTo, quoted price, valid 402, listing, freshness); hosts are checked usually about every 30 minutes (busy, recently changed and paid-alert-plan services: every few minutes; services with no payment request for 7 days: about once a day). The same bearer token reads GET /v1/check and /v1/report/ for the hosts on that subscription only, without per-call payment (60 req/min; other hosts: 403 host_not_on_plan; /v1/best not included). Where we have test-bought a host, paid_receipts[] carry delivered, non_empty, schema_valid and, on receipts recorded from 2026-10-27 UTC, stall (true = our paid retry hit our client timeout). Custom $499+ per 30 days, support terms agreed per contract: botsrated@gmail.com. ## Remote MCP servers Also covered: remote MCP servers (streamable-http and SSE) listed in the Official MCP Registry (33,122 MCP servers checked, 33,339 listed). Each gets an automatic login-free MCP handshake, aiming for about once a day per listed server while we are still working through the registry (priority tier: servers on hosts looked up via BotsRated preflight/check/report, or that are also covered x402 sellers, in the last 7 days, about every 6 hours): initialize, notifications/initialized, tools/list. Tools are called only when their listing states a price (at most 2 unpaid tools/call per check, to read the payment request; nothing is paid). No credentials are sent. Each probe is a signed receipt (kind mcp_probe, botsrated-prober-1). - GET https://botsrated.com/v1/preflight?url= free: last state (ok | auth_required | handshake_failed | unreachable | blocked = not contacted because the URL, a redirect or its DNS points somewhere our rules don't allow), protocol version, tool count, tools sha256, latency, TLS. - GET https://botsrated.com/v1/check?host= $0.001 and GET https://botsrated.com/v1/report/ $0.002 same x402 terms as for x402 sellers; type: "mcp", servers[] facts + receipts. - GET https://botsrated.com/v1/best?task=&type=all|x402|mcp $0.01 results[] = x402 sellers (unchanged), mcp_results[] = MCP servers whose tool names/descriptions match. - Fields: servers[].measured.last_state, recent_window.ok_rate, wilson_lower_bound_95, tool_count, tools_sha256, tools_changed_at, auth, freshness.stale. Coverage counts: GET https://botsrated.com/v1/coverage (mcp_servers). - servers[].paid_tools_check: result of our unpaid price check (initialize + tools/list, at most 2 unpaid tools/call to tools that state a price; nothing paid). paid (true, or null = no payment signals recorded), checked_at, method, payment_request_seen, paid_tools[] (name, stated price_usd and price_source, payment_request), declared_vs_quoted. - declared_vs_quoted (per server and per tool): match, declared_only, observed_only, no_payment_request, not_comparable, not_checked, explained_by_seller, or price_check_in_progress. - price_check_in_progress: true while our comparison of that server's stated and requested prices is not finished.
