Pricing

Payments are x402 v2 (exact scheme) in USDC on Base. The payment settles only if the call succeeds; error answers (HTTP 400 or above) are never charged. Pay-per-call needs no sign-up, no API key, no account and no prepaid balance. (Data plans below give you an access token instead.)

Free Daily Quota

Your Daily Allowance. Preflight is free and unlimited. The first 25 checks (search with /v1/find uses the same allowance) and 3 reports per client (IP address; IPv6 per /48 prefix) per UTC day are answered without a payment. When that quota is used up, the route answers with the normal x402 402 payment requirement.
How To See It. The response carries free_quota {used, limit, remaining, resets_at} and the headers X-BotsRated-Free-Quota-Remaining, -Limit and -Reset.
Overall Daily Limit. Free use also has an overall daily limit: 15,000 free checks (including searches) and reports per UTC day across all clients. When it is reached, checks and reports answer with the normal x402 402 until the next UTC day.
Always-Paid Requests. Requests that already carry an x402 payment header, or send X-BotsRated-Free-Quota: off, are always handled as paid calls.

No Custody

We hold no balances, credits or refunds for anyone. Every paid call is one x402 payment for that call, settled by the facilitator straight to our address. There are no volume tiers yet; if they come, they will be automatic discounts on per-call prices, never prepaid balances.

Badge

The badge (/badge/<host>.svg) is free and earned from measurements. It is never sold. Paying BotsRated never buys a better result, rank or badge. Paid alert plans make us check the hosts they cover more often; those checks use the same method and are published the same way.

Paid alerts plans (alerts-10, alerts-50): the webhook fires on changes in payTo, quoted price, valid 402, listing and freshness. The same token also reads /v1/check and /v1/report for the hosts on the plan without per-call payment (60 requests/min). Where we have test-bought a host, that includes our paid test-buy receipts with delivered, non-empty, schema-valid and, on newer receipts, stall. Most hosts have no paid test-buy yet, and delivery outcomes are not alert events.

Free alerts: up to 3 active free alert subscriptions per client (IP address), and up to 1,000 across all users. Renew each one for free every 30 days.

BotPulse (Infra Change Feed)

Separate from seller alerts: BotPulse reports changes in the tools under your agents (MCP, x402, Base/CDP, framework adapters). Free digest at /botpulse.

The dataset stays free for everyone (dataset.json). History and archives will be free too when they open.

One x402 payment buys one 30-day period and grants access right after settlement. No accounts, balances, credit or refunds held; canceling stops delivery. Payments are final except when a fault on our side meant the plan wasn't delivered (see terms). Webhooks are signed with ed25519 (key botsrated-prober-1). Details: /v1/plans.
